The 2016 Alberta Winter Games were held February 13-16 in Medicine Hat.
After going 1-1-1 in round-robin play, Zone 5 (Yellowhead/Blackgold) finished the Alberta Winter Games on top.
In a tight final game, Zone 5 edged Zone 3 (Calgary) 3-1 to capture the gold medal.
Earlier in the day, Zone 6 (Edmonton) landed the bronze medal after a 2-1 win over Zone 4 (Parkland).
