CONGRATULATIONS TO THE RAIDERS ON BEING NAMED PROVINCIALS HOST!

AFHL Announces Playoff Locations for 2025-26 Playoffs

The Alberta Female Hockey League have announced the host playoff locations for the 2025-26 playoffs.

The playoffs are what sets the teams off on their road to the 2026 Provincial Championships. In the AFHL, the U13 AA playoffs utilize a divisional playoff to determine who joins the hosting team at provincials. Two teams from each division, that being the winner and the runner-up, are the ones that earn their way to the championship. At the U15 AA level, teams are seeded from 1 to 8 (North) and 2 to 7 (South), with first place in the South getting a bye. Teams then play in a best of three series to determine the semifinalists, and play another best of three series to determine the teams attending provincials. In U18 AA, the first and second seed in each division get a bye to the semi-finals, while the 3 seed plays the 6 seed and the 4 seed plays the 5 seed. The winner of each of those series are reseeded against the 1 and 2 seeds, and play a best of three series to determine who advances to the provincials weekend. The U18 AAA division utilizes series play throughout the entire playoffs to determine their champion.

The host communities for each playoff are located below. The host teams for the 2026 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships can be found here.
